Half-ogre sea captain

I am doing the Blizzard student Art Contest. After spending a long time trying to  brainstorm an idea for a piece, I finally came up with the rough concept of a half-ogre sea captain. I am currently in the process of constructing the base model in 3DS Max.

Guns

Here are a couple guns I made. I did a study of the Halo 3 SMG, and also made a model of the gun concept that I did earlier.

Crossroads Scene

For my Drawing II course at Guildhall, I had to create a crossroads scene. Here is the image I submitted today, since it was due. I plan to continue working on the scene, and hope to add it to my portfolio website.

Gun Model Sheet

For my Art Creation II class, I had to create a model sheet for an imaginary gun. I started by creating silhouettes in Photoshop, and chose the one that I liked the most. I then made a quick base model, and painted over it.

Mr. Bean Photoshop Study

Here is an assignment that I found both challenging and fun at the Guildhall at SMU. I had to create a portrait in Photoshop, and push it to reality as far as I could in a 1 1/2 month period of time. I chose to do the portrait of Rowan Atkinson as Mr. Bean. This is because he has a large array of interesting facial expressions. I also noticed that I need to start drawing more males.

Watercolor, and Grad School

I have been quite busy lately doing contract work for an educational mobile game, and I have also been in the proccess of preparing to start graduate school. I will start on August 13th at the Guildall at Southern Methodist University, and will study to get my Masters in Interactive Technology with a focus in Game Art.

Well, it's been a busy month...

I have been pretty busy this past month, with preparations for Grad School, and some contract work which I will reveal once it's done. For now, here are some digital paintings I have created over the past few days.
